Question How to get this look?

Hi folks. first time poster, here. I'm curious as to how to get this look (on both the faded surroundings and the tones and smoothness on the skin)? any suggestions? I have to edit a couple of shots from a recent fashion shoot where we tried to mimic this look but I'm having a little trouble in matching this look and feel.

here is the link to a couple examples:

thanks so much in advance!

Re: How to get this look?

The tonal variations in the background can be done by painting and setting the layer to "color".

I agree or some kind of twisted grad filter. Check out the grass next to her leg. You can easity see where they painted the Color in b/c there is green and pink/orange grass.

Re: How to get this look?

It would be easier if you could post a pic that you would like to retouch in a similar fashion.
for now adjust middle slider in levels:
red=1.85
green=1.22
blue=1.5
RGB=0.78

Re: How to get this look?

You could aslo go to selective color and play around with the blacks.

Re: How to get this look?

well the lighting is pretty different, and I'm clawing this out on my laptop with a trackpad so my masks are terrible, but is this heading in the right direction?

using this as a loose guide:

Re: How to get this look?

is this close to what you looking for?
the steps are:
- dodge the face to make it brighten
- decrease the saturation with hue/sat layer adj : 0/-40/0
- level layer adjustment play with red,green,blue chanel to get that red-magenta feel..
- add 1 solid color layer adjustment #000333 blend to EXCLUSION opacity 50%/60%
