Please rescue

Did a wedding the other day and all I had was this strongly sun backlit curtain for my group pics.
How can I rescue or improve this pictures?

All other suggestions, cretique accepted.

Many thanks

Re: Please rescue

The problem I see with this image is the posing. When you stack people that deep, it becomes quite a mess. It you couldn't spread them out more because of the location of the wedding, then it isn't really your fault. There are a lot of children in this shot and I bet it was like a circus getting these people together.

Re: Please rescue

Hi Mike, the image should be quite recoverable. Open it in Adobe Camera RAW and first use the recovery slider to lower the almost blown highlights. A few minor adjustments with the other sliders should get all the tones back in range. The HSL panel can be used to shift the skin tones a bit toward yellow. I played wih your image but it is microscopic (2.5"x1.7") for the number of people. You should be able to do quite well with a hi res image.
Regards, Murray

Re: Please rescue

My critique with this and I am in agreement of positioning, but do like the relaxed demeanor's, I feel there is enough going on that more going on with the sides is distracting. So I cropped and did a color fade correction to brighten it up a bit.
