Sorry for them being on flickr though.
Craig, if you post your photos into the thread they will preview in the preview window ... when the first picture (before) is clicked it will show in the preview window.. when the next arrow (second picture (after)) is clicked it will replace the first in the same window and when toggled back and forth will act as a very nice before/after view and be available in the thread if the picture link is ever changed as I am presenting your before and after samples below..

There was some questions about the eyes and I also have included my representation of what you could do with the eyes.

All and all I think you are off to a great start with a subtle hand which is a good thing. The next step might be trying NOT making global changes and instead focus what you want changed to a local area and use masks to delineate them.

Hope this helps some....

BTW how did the Shaved head go? I was looking foreward to the real thing to see how we compared!

Re: My First Retouch

Thanks for the post, Baldy. I did try uploading but was having size issues.

The masks tip is a good one - I need to do more playing with selections and so on, especially using the pen tool. I have tried to be very gentle with the retouching, going for a less-plastic feel.

As for the shaved head, my friend took some pictures but is being slow to hand them over - I'll get some sorted soon though. It has all grown back now, which is a good thing.
