Fixing Noise Lines pattern (please critique)

Dear all.. i'm new member in this forum.
i want to saying hello to all member...


i have photo that have huge noise, Over Exposure and have pattern like lines.
I've made a photo enhancement.

- Reduce noise
- Sharpen picture
- Soften
- Colorizing

How about my job?

ronindra, welcome to retouch pro. To remove the lines you needed to blur the photo. It would be better to have a photo without lines. In my experience the problem is from the scanner that scanned the photo. So if you could get a scan from a different scanner you may not have to deal with this problem.

I think is was OlBaldy that said you should scan the image in 2 or 3 diffrent directions and blend them together.

On my scanner it has a lot of grain, i use the despeckal once or twice depending on how bad.

You can always try dup the image and moving it up a few pixels, then mask out the lines if possible on the non important detail parts.

As for what you did, i would give it a "B". Its ok, but i think it could have come out a little better by doing more selective removal of the lines.

You did a good job cleaning it up. It appears to be one frame taken from an inexpensive b&w video/security camera. These typically show a great amount of noise and vertical banding, a very shallow depth of field, and poor perspective which is all very difficult to remove and/or correct.
