Glamour Compositing Issues

Hi guys,

Let me begin by saying this is really my first post on the forums. I've done much trolling before to my benefit. So thank you all for contributing to a great online community resource that is benefiting many of us out there.

Ok, My issue here is, the recent photo composit im trying to complete for a recent photo shoot. The problem in this case was a poor background. Made it hard to extract the model in the first place, and unfortunately it had to be done so.

I used a stock image of a sepia leather sofa thingy. Now i am not quite happy with the overall look and feel of some parts of the image.
1. The hair highlight, that seems to be destracting from the subject.
2. The shadowing and coloring of background upholstery.
3. The discolouration from the bottom body part.

Any suggestions on how to fix these are more then welcome. If you feel, parts of my editing are fundamentally wrong. Please feel free to suggest a better route.

THanks guys.

Looking forward to it.

You could post the photo here as well, in order to have a better idea about your problem

Re: Glamour Compositing Issues

sorry mate. they're posted just below. the composite images x 2, and ofcourse the final.

Im really not happy with the long streak highlight in her hair, as well as the skin discoloration in the bottom half.

I usually color sample a good color part and paint over on a new layer in color mode. Would this be the optimum mode of going about it?
