Hello Folks
I'm sure that someone of you can tell me which is the difference between
Sandisk Ultra II and Sandisk Extreme III and which is better considering that I'm shooting circa 20 Mb per frame. Thanks in advance

Re: Sandisk

Aleksman71 is correct. The Extreme III read/write speeds are 2-3x faster. What you need to know though, is whether your camera can even access memory at those higher speeds. I would suggest you look on your camera manufacturers' website and see what the read/write maximum speeds are for your cameras processor. Match the memory to that speed. Memory with access speeds greater than that is simply wasted money.

Re: Sandisk

They are both right. I swear, I shoot a lot of stuff, including a lot of NASCAR...I have all speeds and I swear I rarely can tell the difference.

Re: Sandisk

I can tell the differnce every time. I use all extreme IV cards, but I have an old III and a 2 gig II thats in my card wallet still. The II is junk, and on my 1 DS mk3 and 1Dmk3 if the III is loaded, I will be waiting a bit longer for buffers to clear and in bursts. Also in ingesting the images with the card reader, the Iv is much faster. These cards are so cheap now why not just get the fastest, that is if you camera can write and take advantage of it.
