Achieve This Colour

I've always struggled to get the right kind of colour in my images with you over processing them.

Not that I want to copy this look, but get an understanding of how it's done so I can then get creative with it.

It looks processed but not over processd, no halos e.t.c

Not got a chance to try it yet, but wondering if it's the AIM profile technique with saturation added in a little later?

Thanx again in advance..

Re: Achieve This Colour

MWNN, the first one looks quite naturally like a canola field, that we have so many of in Germany. Maybe inceased the yellow with selective color?

Re: Achieve This Colour

Maybe it wasn't a great example, but there is definetly some processing done, look at the colour of the sky / clouds.

The 2nd picture might be a better one to look at.

Thanks for the response..

Re: Achieve This Colour

Good image to start with and then it looks a little Holga or Bleach Bypassy if you ask me.
DO a bleach bypass filter then desat a little.
Post a similar image and I'll do it for you..

Re: Achieve This Colour

MWNN, here's my try with your pic

Applied Shadow and Highlight Adjustment to open the shadows in the building a bit. Copied layer and blended with overlay, H/S adj w Master Sat - 70, Levels adj black point at about 25, gamma 1,35 - Curves set to linear contrast...

Of course there is room to play
