Smile Has anyone bought the Beauty Retouching DVD

Hi guy. All over this site you see the advert for "High End Beauty Retouching" Which is a DVD of tutorials and some nice images to work with.

But has anyone actually bought the DVD? if so is it worth it?

Re: Has anyone bought the Beauty Retouching DVD

This has been discussed before. The video would be great for about $60. A lot of basic ("BASIC") PS is covered in the video (you can get this elsewhere). Few tips worth the high price being asked. Nothing substantial with regards to D&B. Put the money in Lydia or the videos forums now being offered by retouchpro for $10..

Re: Has anyone bought the Beauty Retouching DVD

what was you inquiry?

Also when the video first came out (two years ago I think)..there was a promise for more...still haven't seen the 2nd one. I believe there was more spent on marketing than on content.

Re: Has anyone bought the Beauty Retouching DVD

Most of the stuff I do and techniques I use I've found on the web and here in the tutorial sections of the forum. I rarely have found any training videos helpful be it photography or retouching. I have found books more helpful like "Photoshop Restoration and Retouching
by Katrin Eismann". Still people think that buying a book or a video is the end all of digital retouching or photography, I've found that you never stop learning and that some things help and others don't you've got to make the stuff you learn yours.

Re: Has anyone bought the Beauty Retouching DVD

I requested a review copy so I could promote it on my website.

The dodge and burn part was the best. I learned a few things from it, plus you get nice files to practice on. I'd say its worth it although you can find most the stuff from other websites for a lot cheaper.
