Re: Improving clothes details in Fashion photograp You want a lot of light on the clothes. Some fabrics swallow the light. For one thing, expose to the right side of the histogram, which is to say, make your exposures as bright as possible WITHOUT blowing out highlights. This keeps your dark tones above the noise region giving you clean tones to work with. Sometimes you also want to kick extra light into clothes with bounce cards.

Re: Improving clothes details in Fashion photograp I saw 1 picture... quite posterized... To increase detail in whatever area you want just add a contrast adjustment layer, add the desired contrast and mask out all that you don't like how it looks. Simple and best technique you will ever found

Re: Improving clothes details in Fashion photograp Make sure you are shooting in camera RAW so that you capture the most detail, and shoot using different settings. If you can't get good hi-lights and shadows from one curves setting when opening the image make two sets of adjustments and combine them. The same goes for the out takes. I know that I have done some images where we took the photo with slightly different lighting and no model so that we could light one part of the image that needed to be lit but could not with the model in place. As for sharpening detail, there are a number of different ways to do this from straight filters to using a combined layer set to soft light and applying a high pass filter, play with the setting to get the desired sharpening.
