Re: This Skin Texture (Brush or Pattern)??

Hey KR1156, not sure what you meant, could you explain further?
You mean people asking for help and people like godmother jumping down their throats.
I have noticed her post are usually pretty harsh and her retouching does not seem to be that great to make such comments. OK but nothing special to be a know it all.
Or are you talking about the amatuerish post that come here?
All of which can be ingored by the way.

Sure would like to hear what you talking about.
After seeing how Godmother jumps on people kind of makes me want to leave and I just got here.
You guys are strange bunch in here.

Felix

FelixTheCat - hey, what was wrong in godmother's post? She just have said, that payin atention to legal stuff is quite important, and being newbie doesnt allows one to dont use the brain and not read this places faq.

And by the Way, after watching Yours behavior after Calvin Hollywood webinar, You should not be the one to act this kind here.

Shame this post has gone off topic

Yes D&B achieves the best results, but for speed pore brushes seem like an good option to get a similar effect.

Here is a little before and after done with this technique (pic taken with Canon 50D):

And still, after 1h D&B more can be done to make the skin looks better.

And belive me, I have spend over one year searching other, faster methods for doing a good looking skin, and I can say, that I have lost so much time for nothing. D&B does great result, only have to try it by Yourself .

Thanks for the info. I must confess, as a newbie to retouching, I haven't tried too much D&B but I'll start using it more. Thanks for the helpful advice. I see now that I must pay more attention to the lighting when I take my shots too!

As for the poor original poster, I think the reprimands were a bit over the top. Poor bugger.

Re: This Skin Texture (Brush or Pattern)??

Meaty0 - try this video tutorial:
http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...-download.html

It takes about 1h to download, but it is worth of watching. See, as speed is about 5 times faster, so only d&b takes 40 minutes times 5 .

LydiaRachael - brushing isn't even close to result provided by d&b. From my experience, those kind of method gives resulst, like ones who tries d&b for the first time. But with d&b You can go better and better (You always can get back to a photo and make it better), when skin brushes, high passes etc You are stuck in the place, and can go any better.

From my axperience... try d&b - it really kiks Yours abilietes high.
If You want RAW of pictures i have posted previous page, give me a sign - they are a good source to practice (couse make up and oryginal models skin was quite good). I can even give You a psd with this retouch... just give me pw .

Meaty0 - if one asked me about time - poor d&b - about 1h - resoult same as high pass and other semiautomatic methods. Good d&b - proppably about 2h. And You always can go further and better . It depends on resul You want to get. You even can change optic of a face with d&B .
