copyright free images...

I wasn't sure where to put this... I have a couple of images I took of myself that I'm offering up for anyone to take and retouch and do what you want with them. They are basic facial shots, but sometimes I know it is frustrating if you don't have a picture to work with that isn't copyrighted, etc.

Re: copyright free images...

Posting the less than 100K samples along with links to the full sized photos would be nice.
Who to credit the pictures as Photographer is a nice gesture also.

Re: copyright free images...

Hi pumpkincat, thanks for the picture.

This is my first attempting in retouching a picture, been reading up books and tutorials for a few weeks.

C&C welcome, I wish to learn more from everyone.

No idea how do I link the picture into here.

Did some minor lens correction then used Kent Chrisiansen's "Paint soft skin" action to smooth the skin
Added some face paint and eyelashes and darkened the picture corners

Re: copyright free images...

I gave you the works...just because I could. And I needed the practice. I'm going to have to reread the Tired Eyes thread to figure out how to do shiny lipgloss.

Thanks! It was really nice.

These photos were unfortunately taken too close, i.e. with very UNflattering wide-angle effect (you get a big nose, drawing attention away from your beautiful eyes, and you get distorted facial features). Step back 2 or 3 meters and use a little telephoto for much more flattering results.

When you plan to retouch a photo you better have a good original to start from.

I can totally agree with you. Usually i have my husband take my shots since i don't have a tripod. I call it the dreaded doorknob effect.
