Hi people, I've a work to do with this pic and part of it is removing the flares located at the left side of the pic. The case is I just cannot figure how to remove those without losing realism. If any of you have an idea, I would appreciate reading it. I've tryed adjusting levels in that area, that's the way I usully do, but in this case I found it useless because the picture shows too much glow in that area and there is not enough data to clone, I think. Thanks in advance for any help, Mart Last edited by Quantum3; 09-12-2009 at 08:00 PM.

re: Need help removing flare from urban pic Very difficult here due to the detailed bars behind the flair. But here is what i did. I used solid color fills with sampled colors from the areas near the problem. I set the layers to color blending. I then used D&B to even out the brightness diff. I used the patch tool for the rest of the non pole problems as there wasn’t much detail. Taking more time could improve quality. Lov the picture by the way.... -Keven Last edited by igot2pman; 09-13-2009 at 10:04 AM. Reason: Changed the pole color to look better

Re: Need help removing flare from urban pic Overall it took me about 20-30 min but my patch job could have been better. I should have used clone stamp near the pole. Its just faster to use the patch tool for me. As for the other one. you would have to do the same thing. Color fill color blending mode for the stuff with detail behind it, then patch out the pure white. Lastly, D&B to even out any discolorations Took about 20min for the new one. Exact same process except the patching also repaired the pole line and recreated the texture needed. Hope it helps, -Keven Last edited by igot2pman; 09-13-2009 at 10:03 AM.

Re: Need help removing flare from urban pic Not a problem, just make sure if your going to be printing this big to take more then 50min, as every little error shows in a big print. Good luck, -Keven

Re: Need help removing flare from urban pic I took a selection just below the flare on the extreme left and copied and pasted it into position. I took a selection of the pillar and did the same. then selected a color from surrounding areas and used the paint brush set to color to correct the rest of the color bleed from the flare.
