How to Blend 2 photos together at different stages

Hi team
Is there a way in photoshop to blend 2 photos together transitionally?

I've got a photo of a motorbike and another one of the same motorbike when it was restored and modified that i would like to do this with.

Its a bit like the blend tool in illustrator, say if you have a square shape and a circle shape and the 6 shapes in between gradually go from the square to the circle.

I hope this all makes sense?

Check out morphing software. If I understand correctly what you're looking for, you want a program that will morph from the original image to the restored image in a series of steps. There are free programs available that do a very nice job. You set the number of transitional images, or set the amount of time you want the transition to take, and the program does the rest.

you could do it with a GIF, and do the animation in photoshop. Only drawback is that photographs isn't the strength of GIFs.

The animation can be done with opacity of one layer over another. Google for tutorials because it varies depending on your photoshop version

Were those photos of that bike taken at exactly the same angle, sponge? How about posting 'm so that we can see what we're talking about here?

This was done quickly with a free morphing program called SmartMorph. I grabbed a couple of images of cycles off the web as an example. Sorry about the link but it's saved as an animated gif and I couldn't get the size small enough to post here.

Hey thats really cool stereokatt.

Its like stereokatts example, but have a full opacity image of one bike, then maybe 4 images at say 50% opacity in the middle then the other bike at the end in full opacity.

Is it possible to do that as a still image instead of animated?

the 4 images in the middle are gradually changing from one bike to the other.
