Help - Flash Fog
I have a problem with my N97 camera phone (the lense has become scratched). This has resulted in a "flash fog" that fills the left half of the photo.
I have no experiance with Photoshop CS4, so please be patient
Could anyone help me restore this photo i have provided the link to? I have quite a few to do so i would appreciate some pointers on how to fix the photo so i can do the others myself.
Here is the link to the picture:
Re: Help - Flash Fog
If you use Photoshop you can post fairly large pictures which are under 100k using the 'save for web' function in Photoshop as described here:
Size, Quality and/or Format your Attached Images.. (Click here)
How to attach Files/Images to your Posts or Threads.. (Click here)
If you want to post a larger resolution that is over 100K then you can host your image elsewhere and attach a link in the thread (as you did here), but also please attach an under 100K version so the thread remains useful in the future, regardless of external links.
The following sample contains well over 20 different layers and numerous color adjustments and masks and still needs lots of work and clean up.. But I have neither the patience nor the time to complete the project, this is just a quick sample of what could be done.... soooo, if you have NO experience using Photoshop I would suggest the following tutorials to experiment with on your numerous pictures ..
These tutorials are much better than my limited patience..
This tutorial "Restoring an old photograph" by cameraken has become the starting point for most of my projects:
Used in conjunction with this tutorial "Enhancing Details In Unevenly Faded Pictures" by Flora.
Here are some other links that may help:
How to Repair a Light Leak or Stain
Old Faded Color Damaged Photo
Help on technique for restoring photos that have gone pink
Also don't forget to search through the Photo-Restoration forum for more great threads!
Please keep us informed and get some suggestions and help by posting samples of your finished projects or some 'Works In Progress' (WIPs)
Re: Help - Flash Fog
