Match color in CS4 (need to remove black shadow) I got a portrait image that has a very dark shadow (completly black) and i want to remove it, is "match color" the best way. I have seen this tutorial, but i think it sucks to be a tutorial, it hard to understand because its badly explained... Anyone know about another tutorial, or can come whit other tips to remove the ugly shadow?? It is many contrasts in the image, its like rock moves over in the skies so its a hard work Here is the tutorial i am talking about: http://www.inertiavisualmedia.com/sa...hadow-matchcol...

Re: Match color in CS4 (need to remove black shado Nice technique (the link is cut off, its http://www.inertiavisualmedia.com/sa...ow-matchcolor/). You have to duplicate the image first using "Image"-"Duplicate" and create a little selection of a shadow area (just as shown on the screenshot, its just a little marque). Then go back to the original image and create a selection of a area near that shadow you want to correct (same here, just a little marque). Go back to the duplicated image and choose "Image"-Adjustments"-"Match Color", check the "Ignore Selection" box. Move your duplicate above the original image and mask everything but the shadow out. Oh, I forgot, if the borders look to fake, you have to clone them.

Re: Match color in CS4 (need to remove black shado really cool technique great result on that link thanks for sharing. @cmi: I'm sure you can get great results by copy/pasting pieces of rocks and cloning/healing to finish it off. Just duplicate the layer, create a mask and mask out her leg, ass, and sky and then start cloning.
