If i do the burning and dodging tool i destroy the hair colors... bah! this looks dark! i cant threw the image now...! so close!

Noone? I need the bluecolor to match the glorie around her head!! Am i really need to threw the image out of the window? i have been retouching this image for several hours now, is it several hours wasted?

Masking hair is not an easy job. You just need a little patience. Sneak up on the mask a little at a time - not in terms of area but in terms of effect. If you use Murray's technique set your dodge and burn tools to very low strength, like 10%, with a soft brush. Burn just outside the hair a bit, the dodge just inside the hair a bit. Go back and forth, keeping an eye on the detail. If you just scrub along the hair edge with either brush you're likely to lose detail.

On this one I'd first create a new layer, select the color of the sky around her hair and paint above everything from the old background. Next double-click on this layer to get into the blending options, choose the luminance blending (Red: 0, 90/145; Blue: 60/100, 0) and apply. After that create a layer mask and paint with a middle gray above the hair you want to protect more.

Definitively not the best method, but one of the shortest.

This is what i want to do.. I had a tutorial on this kinda work once.. but cant find it... I sorted it out another way i think Thanks all!
