Retouching Home exterior & Interiors

I recently came across an amazing retouching company for homes & commerical building called: attic fire and I was wondering if anybody know how to get these types of results. Please let me know.

The before photos look like they have all been engineered to be "poor" photography. They look deliberately poorly lit to ensure lots of shadows resulting in dark, low saturation, lpoor detail and pretty uninteresting. The "after" images look like they were properly lit, properly exposed and then had some post processing to boost the color saturation, contrast adjusted, and well sharpened. Most of the magic is in the photography, both the before and the after.

It's equal parts photography/lighting and retouching. We're responsible for both. Glad you dig it kiss.

Re: Retouching Home exterior & Interiors

I agree with Mistermonday, but I don't think the "befores" are taken to look poor, I do think they're the before photos, from the glance I saw in some of the photos as Lietandexp pointed out is a mix of exposure some lighting (other than the interiors) and more retouch.
Although I can't tell you exactly what they did, Mistermonday nailed some of it, you could also try to do HDR or manually composite exposures, the good thing with interiors (specially the ones with no people in them) is that you can do lots of different stuff (compositing, hdr, photos with multiple flashes fired in different places) and then combine everything in photoshop to get interesting images.

I think the pics looks pretty good, and the retouching looks really interesting.

Can't say I'm too impressed... If you look at the architectural retouches, it looks like the light is off on almost all of them. Shadows where there would be none and so forth...

I would like to see some examples of great architectural pics and retouchings to instruct myself a bit more. Any link?

Well the "great" is very subjective since there is no standard, I joined a flickr group that is all about "photography for real estate" which have interesting examples of what other people are doing either photography wise, lighting wise or retouch wise. From that I take the details that I like to use or simply for inspiration. http://www.flickr.com/groups/photographyforrealestate/ that's the link to the group.
