Content Aware Fill

Pretty amazing. This is in development, not released yet, but when it is a lot of things will get a lot simpler...

Re: Content Aware Fill

Stereokatt,
Good information; looks like a very worthwhile addition to Photoshop. For restoration and retouching, could make an upgrade worth it.

Thanks for posting.

Re: Content Aware Fill

hi,
I think it great to.. smmiling... been looking for a good plug in.... for my cs 1..grr...... probably have to upgrade...

now it being used already ...... you find it on a couple of free online paint site.. here a couple of sites there content aware feature sort of limited but give you on hand experince..
look under geek http://fotoflexer.com/

another and agai not fully featured http://rsizr.com/

don't know if photoshop has incorporated it in there photoshop express site...

now photoshop cs4 has it!!! they rushed the feature before releasing cs 4 ... the reason i say rush is because i have seen the orginal program for content aware and it very capable... and in the demo i saw for cs4 it seems it was missing some abilities..... I would assume when they come out with cs5 they will have much improved the content aware feature... and address some of the weakness of content aware.... i hope i can afford upgrade.. grrr...lol ...

Re: Content Aware Fill

It wasn't rushed for CS4, it was added as well as it could be incorporated with the existing coding. Adobe gave us what they considered the most useful and quickest implementation that they could.

I am going to assume the same will be true for CS5.

Re: Content Aware Fill

hi cricket1961,

Well it does seem rushed... they hired quickly one of the partners who developed the seam carving so adobe could quickly implement it and like you mentioned the "quickest implementation" to fit there time scheduale, especially so since from what hear about cs4 at the time they were running behind on...

now with cs 5 they'll have a lot more time to fully implement the feature and improve it gui, probably have a much smoother interphase with ps....

anyway those are my thoughts...

Wow! I don't think I've seen something so potentially useful for me in a long time . I wonder if it will live up to uses I'm imagining.
