highlights and shadows
I'm working on a shot and the photographer asked me to improve the contrast. I'm not quite sure what is the line you really shouldnt cross to have the details in highlights and shadows still printable. What would the numbers be?
Thanks in advance
Re: highlights and shadows
It depends on what printer you are using & what inks. Some printers can prints various shades close to black without them blocking up, while others just block up dark greys.
You should be able to improve the contrast and make it a lot more punchy without loosing detail in print.
You can always get your shot how you like it, and get the printers to proof it before they send it to print
