Wooden Floors -- how to make nice and shiny?

In a couple of weeks, I will be shooting a few portraits in a dance studio. Some of the shots will include the wooden floor, which is old and worn out.

Any suggestions on how I might retouch the floors to give them that nice new shine? I'll probably be try to enhance the support bars on the wall, too.

Just looking for general guidelines as I am fairly new to Photoshop.
