Hope to achieve this effect like the Movie Poster

Hello to all of you,

First of all, I'm very new to post a question myself. I'm absolutely sorry as I am not sure if I'm asking the question in an appropriate place and whether this type of retouching is considered "Manipulation" or not?

I am looking to achieve the effect like this movie poster "Perfume".

If possible, could any expert please provide brief tips if not full tutorial of how to achieve something like this effect?

I could think of a way to do but in a very amateur way....

I believe there might be others here who would also like to know.

I would really appreciate any advise and thank you very much in advance.

***Edit*** Meanwhile I meant to post this in the Retouching section but somehow made a mistake into posting it in Restoration section***

Re: Hope to achieve this effect like the Movie Pos

First of all you have to cut out your model and mask it against a new background (any texture will work). After that use the lasso tool ([L]) and make a selection of a part of the model, it doesn't have to be too accurate, add a new layer mask to hide that selection.
Last but not least add some brushes, play with the brush settings ([F5]) (you can use roses that'll come similar I think).
The rest is a desaturation and a slight tint of blue.

Far from an expert but.

The help I can give is.

You would take two or more shots. Using tripod. One just of the background then another with the model. Like a special fx plate.

You can then do all your nice cutting out and then lay the plat shot under the model shot.

Probably a lot of masking and brushing. Not sure how you'd do it, but you might even be able to set a brush which just paints on the roses and use transformation tool to change shapes / position.

As with anything like this. Patience / time are required.

If you try to emulate this movie poster "Perfume".... try to not make it look like the "Perfume" odor of roses is coming out of her behind
