| Re: taking out freckles and matching skin tones You could try this which is a similar technique that the one insensitive linked to. Sample red blemish rgb numbers Sample normal skin rgb numbers Open a curves adjustment layer Write down each number for the blemish in the input of each channel Write each number for the normal skin in the output of each channel Mask and paint over You could also try it with a Hue/saturation adjustment layer but with any of the techniques you'll still have to paint over each of the individual freckles in the mask. Neither of the techniques will remove the red patches that are left after any of the techniques are done so you'll have to tackle that after you finish with the freckles. |

| Re: taking out freckles and matching skin tones Well one wonders about using calculations/apply image or various channels like cymk etc. I copied the layer and used a median filter which removed the freckles too. So I would suggest that you try copying the layer and add a black layer mask to it and to that layer add a median filter of about 7. Paint the freckles out by painting the mask with white. After that you might need to place some noise back in. |
