Thumbs up Photo Effects Retouching

Hey all,

I would like to share with you a photo i've taken while i was in USA [NY] for vacation last October, so i would like to know your opinion about my edit or retouch, also you are all welcome to retouch if you want.

looked like a grim story of alienation, so to give a sense of separation between him and his environment I blended your two versions using the contrasty version on him and the softer one for the background. Then darken for mood.

please excuse the sloppy masking.

Nice one. I like this better, as the two first version made the bg to harsh and the bright highlights took away from the subject.

I like this too. Maybe bring a tinge of color back into the bg, but it's a good look for the image.

I like the 1st one.

Maybe some more color in the background.
Also I would dim the red tail lights.
