Here's a basic site that you can use to showcase your retouching skills.
The site is flash based. Unpack the contents of the zip, and customize what you want.

how to customize:

logo.png > this will be the watermark on the background wall

logo_intro.png > this is the first logo/intro-image that is loaded when site is started

GradientA.png/GradientB.png > those are the gradients used in the site
(if you want to change them, you can)

about.png > information bout yourself

gallery_images\data.xml >the list with the filenames for your gallery

data.xml:
imageURL > thumb file (thumbs have to be max size 150px wide 130px high)
imageSRC > original image
retouchSRC> retouched image

Place the thumbnails, the originals and the retouched versions in one folder and edit the XML file appropriately.

edit your information in the "index.html" so search engines can index you with proper information and description, related key words, etc.


15 test images are included.
The site is not optimized so with more than 20 images it may be a little sluggish.

The music (radio) starts automatically by default.
you may need to add the "crossdomain.xml" file to your domain root directory for it to work.
(copy the file so it looks something like that: www.yourdomain.com/crossdomain.xml )

hi slight, nice bone gallery so every one can upgrade as they like the graphics, only one advice, when click the thumb maybe something happen (the cursor don't turn into a classis hand) so is clear that i've pushed the thumb.....

when you click the main image should fadeout and a loading bar should be shown until the next image gets loaded...
but i'll see if as you say having a "hand" when the mouse is over the thumb is a good idea ... is that what you had in mind?
or maybe some indication which thumb is under the cursor (and selected)...

edit: just saw there may be some problem with the loading indicator... it hides too soon
