How to remove small hair?

Hello everyone!
Could you please tell me how to even hair (to remove small hair from hairstyle)? Is it just a clone/healing tool or anything else?
These are some examples from iretouchit.com.
Thank you!

Dear anka...

I would start off with the clone stamp tool and then move on to the healing brush tool. It's not particularly difficult. It just takes time.

Hope you are doing well. Take care. Alan.

Re: How to remove small hair?

If there are no other shots from the shoot to take hair from, see if you can copy paste an adjacent area over the problematic hair. If not, try clone stamp set to darken mode (make a dulplicate background layer for this, darken mode doesn't work on an empty layer). You can smudge other hairs with a tiny speckled brush with size control set to fade (pressure if you have a tablet). There are hair brushes that make this easier. If that fails, then you're stuck with burning in the hair at the pixel level until it blends in.

Dear anka...

Adding hair, and fixing problem areas in the hair is a different operation from removing tiny stray hairs.

Sometimes you can patch larger areas, sometimes you can use the clone stamp (sometimes doing it almost one hair at a time). This is rather painstaking work to make sure that hairs line up properly and that the flow of the hair is believable/natural looking.

You need to work close in to avoid creating problems, but you also need to step back to make sure that the detailed fixing work fits in well with the overall image.

I would resist using smudging as it destroys the texture of the hair pretty quickly.

Hope you are doing well. Take care. Alan.

Smudging was used on this hair retouch by Natalia Taffarel. Done correctly, it works great.

I respectfully disagree. It's all done with copy paste, clone on darken, smudge, and burn: single hair or not.
