Tutorials or pointers on this effect?

I am trying to reproduce the effect from this picture. Does anyone know of a tutorial or maybe some pointers on techniques involved for the snowhite picture here: http://www.fallenprincesses.com/

Thank you!

My guess for Snowy, the room and objects are rendered and color subdued , the subjects are composed and color enhanced.

I'm guessing some measure of HDRi and watercolor filters were applied.
