IS this image the proof that this DVD is worthy? I would like to see something more, because the shown example can be done with the eyes closed. It's just healling brush. I have seen the gallery of Nick and he has much better stuff than this picture. Could you post other examples?

I have yet to see anything that would justify the spend but it has to be good news to those who are interested that the introductory price is being held at the moment. When the review has been posted that should hopefully give some indication as to if the content justifies the price.

Re: Mastering Retouching DVD by Nick Saglimbeni.

I bought the videos yesterday and finished the first session. So far I think it is very good, but probably you should take into account that I'm an absolute beginner in retouching .. The first part does not contain much secrets but was actually the first time I saw things being explained in context, which I found extremly helpful. Thumbs up.

Re: Mastering Retouching DVD by Nick Saglimbeni.

By looking at the website and the before and afters By Nick and comparing it to Natalias preview videos and all the info on her site, and not only that she has never been scared to say that there are no secrets and has been very vocal on what to expect on her dvd and has never been scared to share her techniques on public forums. I would choose Natalia's DVD hands down. By just comparing the quality you will get with Natalia's DVD it's high end caliber for less in price.

Make the math

Natalia=High quality+ Lower Price

Nick=Subpar quality+ higher price

By just looking at the previews I can already tell Nick may fool begginers that don't know any better but he can't fool experienced retouchers.

Are you serious?

But never mind, I didnt feel like reading it all cuz the colors gave me a head ache. It looks alright but totally not worth 500$ (WTF?).

Natalia's DVD looks alot more promising and in a reasonable price.
i'm along with your words

lol right.... I sincerely would love to have a do it all fast and quick technique that would replace D&B but as you learn more about retouching you'll see that it isn't the case. Different techniques for different looks, and I doubt the technique in the DVD will become the retouching standard and D&B will never be used again. I do think that the technique has its place, but for the moment D&B and the separation technique work well for me, I already know how to do the rest, the "simple" use of the healing and clone tools can surprise you if you only try them...

What lots of people found fishy wasn't the producers accomplishments but the marketing lingo used to lure people to buy his dvd, at least that's what I found fishy about it.
