Well... they should care. Talking the same languaje gives many advantages. They should know about Photoshop. About the symbols, could be a simple program to make those annotations, like Snagit.

Trust me, they know about photoshop. Most the time the input they make by marking the prints doesn't call for anything creative. Instead, by marking stuff they show you a thing you might have missed. It really is easy. Say they mark a part of the photo where the model has a scar. You, as a retoucher will see the scar, and the circle the editor made. And you'll go, oooh, i missed that scar. No need for a special code for that.

Yeah, for scars I don't think an scar icon would be needed !lol!
