Your Opinion Please?

This is my first D&B skin work. I have always used healing brush for skin, then recovered the texture by adding it later. Skin work on this image is 99% D&B with no added texture. Your opinion is greatly appreciated it.

Looks good.

I might have cleaned up the flyaway hairs a bit more than just the ones that were on the background, especially the ones on her neck and that bright loose hair going across the top center. Maybe cleaned the hairdo a little more overall, like the clumps of hair sticking out on the right and made one nice curl at the bottom.

Definitely would have gotten rid of that harsh crease coming from her armpit.

But it all depends on budget, time, etc. Overall I think she would be happy with it. You didn't go as far as trying to change the lighting or anything to drastic, look very realistic. Nice work.

The main focus here was Skin since I was practicing D&B for the first time. The client did not expect anything to this level and you are right, the budget was not there

The skin looks great. There are a few dark spots left that I probably would have dodged a bit more (her left cheek by the mouth, a few on the chest and neck), but overall it's pretty nice.

One major plus is that you avoided removing structural shadows and highlights. Many new DB users go overboard and take these out too. So, good job!

Your D&B looks great to me, very natural, especially for a first try. I do miss the freckles, though (I'm just a sucker for freckles, my wife has a bunch). Did the client ask you to remove them?

Thank you everyone for the comments and compliments. I did not receive an e-mail notifying me that I had responses to this thread, so my apology for the delayed response.
The client is a hair stylist and did a job for me in exchange for me to photograph her and retouch one of her images. I figured this would be good candidate for my first D&B. The freckles was my idea to remove, but maybe I should have left a few of them.
