Does not look like anything much more than some healing and smoothing - the look comes in main from the rim light set up.

You could use something along the lines of a beauty dish or smaller soft box in front and two lights at about 45 deg left and right behind - anything from bare heads to strip lights to soft boxes depending on how soft you want the light - you are after a line of highlight on both sides, not blown but distinct. The front light is normally a stop or two lower but you can play with this.

The main thing to remember is that the rims must be positioned carefully - move them around and the look changes. I often play with a foam head and two torches to see the effect of angle and height on the rim.

Good luck..

And then dodge and burn. Most of the light shaping on these photos is done in post by burning shadows and plainly painting white with a soft slow brush. Look at her arms.

Re: How can i get this skin look

"Please don't shoot me" but a quick and dirty way to get this look is to

create a new layer and stamp all

"CTRL" + "ALT" + "Shift" + "N" for a new layer
"CTRL" + "ALT" + "Shift" + "E" to put everything visible in this new layer

then go to "Filters" and use "Surface Blur" on this new layer with settings generally around 16-20 for both Radius and Threshold depending on the size of the file and amount of detail.

then set the blending mode to "Soft Light" or "Overlay" with adjusted opacity

then because the darks are usually blown out by the "Overlay" effect, use Amica999's luminosity mask "Lights" which usually works the best to save the darks.

And because of the color shift because of the "Overlay" a little desaturation may also be needed.

(This works best if you have the proper lighting as you can't make chcken soup out of chicken you know what)

The surface blur treatment gives the image that "creamy" look without losing the fine detail like the plain old blur overlay treatment

"These Luminosity masks are based on the tutorial of Tony Kuyper http://www.goodlight.us/writing/tutorials.html. Please check out his explanations! Have fun! Amica999"

Re: How can i get this skin look

There are different ways to achieve that according to the quality of your photo and of the colors, lights...

The most common way would be to use a surface blur filter, then a high-pass filter.

You can find tutorials on Google to achieve this kinda work, again there are so differents ways to get the same results, try different technics and choose the one you prefer the most!

Regards,
