Road Detail Question

Hello,
Does any know how to create the nice road detail as seen in attached file. This pattern is common in many car shots I have retouched but I have never had good luck recreating it from scratch. Thanks

Re: Road Detail Question

Create a new layer, blending mode softlight, fill with 50% grey
change the blending mode back to normal
Filter>Add Noise> amount 60, monochromatic
CMND+L to bring up levels, increase contrast considerably
Filter>Motion Blur> angle to suit image, play with amount

.

Re: Road Detail Question

Not motion blur... radial blur. Motion blur would make parallel lines with no perspective at all.

Now, if you want to achieve the best perspective you can, do use motion blur on a flat layer, select all that layer and distort it to match the road's perspective. And if you are as sick as i am, don't do it with distortion but use vanishing point.

Re: Road Detail Question

Yeah, you can go total filth and use vanishing point, also add one of these for super effect -
