Like it a lot. I'd add a little contrast, but that's personal taste.

Re: can i get a crit? please

Damn . . . Meditating, beams of sunlight, shotgun in one hand, a beer in the other, hardly an individual to get directions from if you were lost in the woods. This image would also look great at a hunting camp hanging between two deer heads.

As far as the image itself, I like it, although there are many directions that you could have taken to have possibly improved it (but I still like your result). I think contrast could have been improved. The subject could be slightly more distinct from the wooded area. As is, the image is a bit flat. The pixilated effect that I'm seeing seems to be one of choice on your part, making the image more photo art than straight photography (which is fine).

Great idea, good composition. I'm sure there are many things that "could" have been done differently but bottom line. Good job!

This is what happens in north western pa, when you get bored, and feel like being somewhat creative.

Re: can i get a crit? please

There is a Topaz plug-in that gives you this type of effect and which I use frequently when I am in a rush and doing a job which requires a conceptual drawing for a project and which is made up of a collage of different images. I know we are supposed to do things the long way here so as to learn, but check it out. It might give you some additional ideas and ways to tweak your image if you ever need to do it quickly.

Very nice work Alex! I think the theme was, the man is actually trying to meditate away from all the chaos of city but he could not keep aloof the thoughts of hatred and temptation Anyways, it was my feeling when I saw this pic.
