Re: My try on DRAGAN EFFECT

Nice find Pictus. Thought I would play too. Maybe mine might be more on the grunge side then a Dragan.

Re: My try on DRAGAN EFFECT

I know some really "up there" photographers, and I have to let you guys know...

A lot of their files look a lot closer to Dragan's effect out of camera that many of you realize. Not necessarily the amount of fine detail brought out through post-production, but at least the contrast of shadows, highlights, and the depth of the tonality.

I can easily see file degradation on everyones example. I think that you need to work on getting better lighting ratios and then trying to enhance them in photoshop, rather than completely creating all of the effects.

The quality of the end result will be obvious

I'd hate to rain on your parade people ,but with a couple of brightnes contrast layers set to darken and lighten, masked, and with blend if sliders adjusted properly, you can achieve this look in mather of minutes. Obviously sharpening and dnb only help further. Mind you, you'll have to reduce saturation by attaching hue/sat to the each contrast layer.
