Portfolio help

I'm looking for a web hosting site to post a portfolio.
I tried JustHost and it feels like I have to learn all kinds
of software to build a decent site. I need something easy,
so I don't have to spend hours on creating rollovers in Fireworks
and then exporting them and then seeing nothing's working anyway!..

Can anybody help, please?

Re: Portfolio help

ekuna you need to create your webpage anyway. Webhosting company does not matter. They will give you a room to transfer and run your site. It look like JustHost is offering you more tools to help you but you do not need to use them.

When you will finish your site you will use a FTP client to transfer your data there and that is it.

Re: Portfolio help

Because a company that has 9% market share has a beef with it? Pshaw. Flash is still web standard.

Re: Portfolio help

I used iWeb to make my website (NO flash or anything like it). I wanted to hire someone to make a website, but as of the moment I cannot afford such. And I learned how to make a site from scratch back when I was in college, but I do not have the programs to create it and I needed a site up asap due to certain circumstances.
Regardless, iWeb comes with Macs and I use dreamhost.com to host my page, and their hosting service comes with an FTP site. It doesn't get much simpler than that. It took me no time once I got the hang of it (about a day or two). Feel free to ask me any questions if you are interested.
Good Luck.

Amanda
