Smile Dark shadow on professional photo...

Hello! I am new to using Photoshop. My friend sent me a photo that she had taken professionally, but it has a dark shadow running across the side on the bridge of her nose, down to the cheek and neck. She prefers that I don't upload her photo online, but hopefully you can assist. How can I fix the shadow? (please reply in detail, as I am still learning). Thank you!

Not to be a killjoy, but if she had the photograph taken "professionally", then you have no business working on it without a copyright release that allows alteration from the photographer.

Try a quick and easy patch tool on a copy layer, then a paint over with sampled colours, but hard to say without an example...Maybe you could just crop the area without let us see the eyes nor consistent piece of her face...Just wonder.

If so, I guess getting back the money should not be a problem.

Wouldn't be with me, I offer a 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied. Doesn't everyone?
