viewing guides in liquify tool?

This has bugged me to no end, I need to see my guides while I'm in the liquify tool so that I can adjust things to match the guides, but there doesn't seem to be a way to turn them on. Does anyone know if it's possible or do you have any tricks for getting around it? I can't really paint a line on the layer.

Re: viewing guides in liquify tool?

Take a screenshot of the image with the guides visible then apply the liquify tool to it and save the mesh. Go back to the image and turn off the guides. Call up the liquify tool and load the saved mesh.
Regards, Murray

I also wish there were guides inside of it... when processing fullframe photos, I can`t really use screenshots...

Puppet Warp in CS5 might do the trick, depending on the type of transformations you need to make.

Re: viewing guides in liquify tool?

I would just make a new layer w/the marquee tool. That would be a long rectangle with the inner edge on the guide.
Fill that sucker with a glaring magenta or something like that- there's your guide. In Liquify- show background layer- choose the name of that rectangle layer.
Hope this helps
