Am I on the right track?

I'm new to the site (hello! ) and just thought i'd upload a quick retouch I am just working on for a friend. not a glamour shot, so no porcelain smooth skin here.

Any obvious comments for improvement? Two things i've just noticed as I uploaded it, are I have overdone the brightness of the eyes, and also have removed too much detail from under one of the eyes, making it look a bit flat. Any pointers or comments greatfully appreciated!

I look forward to getting more involved with this site from now on!

Welcome to the forums gse123.

It's a nice job, although I think that the face as a whole is a little light, I appreciate you have taken the red out, but perhaps a little too much?

Thanks Mike. On second glance (after giving my eyes a break) I can definitely see what you are talkin about! Pretty washed-out looking. I have just finished another similar retouch which I will post soon.(that I think is far better than this one!)

Re: Am I on the right track?

Hi! You also removes the moles but you removed them all at the same place, and kept them all at the bottom of the face. I think you might want to even their spreading(?) all over the face. I see the teeth too white too, they seem burnt. And also the color is a bit "porcelain like" to me. Otherwise, nice job...
