Lens flare - AARGH!

I thought I could find a clever, mostly channel-ops sort of solution (not my strength, apparently) to this as opposed to a mostly clone-patch-heal sort of solution, but so far no joy.

Any suggestions?

Re: Lens flare - AARGH!

dc, if you do a quick patch on the Blue channel, then duplicate the bg layer, and apply the Blue channel of the BG layer to that new layer (normal blend mode), set the layer Blend Mode to Luminosity, and just mask out the right side to bring the bg back, you get the image attached. You could then recolor the suit in the usual 10 different ways and do some usual finishing touches. This was just one route to consider as it was only 2 mins.

Murray, I knew I could count on you. Worked a charm. There are plenty of other problem areas (The idiot was shooting directly into the sun. Thought he was being artsy, no doubt but he made a dog's breakfast of it.) but you've put me over the hump. Thanks a million.

Re: Lens flare - AARGH!

Hello

Here is my try and a clever Solution :-)))

A good and easy way to deal with really hard Problems is first to seperate the Texture with Frequency seperation...here are some Threads on Frequency seperation with some good Tuts:

http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...eparation.html

on the so called Low frequency Layer you can easily brush away or blurr the Problems , because the Texture is save on a seperate Layer ..here i paint it roughly away and than used the Patch tool. took me one ore 2 minutes...

lg.
Gene
