Re: PhotonicTools

hmmm.. I don't use Mac... from the image there it looks like it has a problem with loading the SWF ... were you able to load other SWF panels before?

Try updating your flash-player.

btw, I just updated the files with more robust versions (in case you don't have a background layer... making splits over smart objects... etc)

Re: PhotonicTools

< update v3>

1) It's a bit redesigned for simplicity.

- The upper slider now control what you like to control (smooth)
(from pores to blotches)

- You can decide on how "wide" to target the texture with the bottom slider.

2) a skin-tone mask is automatically generated (you can turn it on/off from the interface).

Re: PhotonicTools

Re: PhotonicTools

Shadow, I have the latest Flash installed. I now (v3) get the panel to open without an error message, but it doesn't do anything to the photo. I'm sliding the sliders, clicking Mask on and off, clicking Rasterize, clicking Create (which resets the sliders to a default position) but none of it affects the photo.

I tried it on a background layer, a duped background layer and a stamped merge layer. Is it supposed to show real-time changes or am I supposed to do something in particular to make it take effect?

Mac OS 10.5.8, PS CS5

Re: PhotonicTools

If you have the interface than it is not from the SWF.

This should work on any layer if you click "Create".
After you click "create" it does what it needs to create a Smar Object Layer, with couple of filter on it. With the sliders you can adjust the settings and the filters get set to appropriate values to get the necessary effect.
(so until you get the SmoothBand layer from "create" it will not do much)

make sure you have SmoothSplit.jsx in the same directory as the .SWF and it is the latest version

If you do have it there, and still does not work let me know... because that will mean some computers can run the script, and others can't...
(and I'll see what I can do to fix it)
thanks

Re: PhotonicTools

PhotonicTools is a really misleading name. Photonics is actually a highly specialized branch of physics.
