Digital manicure please help

Hello Everyone,

Can someone please tell me if it's possible to do digital manicure using photoshop I have photo I would like to have the nails done beautiful as you would in a real manicure shop is that possible if anyone know of any tutorial I would be greatful. In meantime I will have a try also and would show my edit.

Practically anything is possible in photoshop! Can you attach the photo or provide a link to it please?

The layer effects can come in pretty handy (especially the inner shadow, bevel and emboss and satin), but kevinashworth is right, an example would be best :-).

For this I would first shorten the nails using the clone stamp, then polish the nails a little with the smudge tool and probably as a last step add some shine to them with dodge & burn.

Helen, treat the nails just like anything else.... clone/ heal, remove imperfections, etc,... no different than repairing a necktie or nose or mouth... make em the way you want!

Hi Sergio 2263 - I've gone for long glossy nails. first i lasso'd a fingernail and copied it onto a layer of it's own, used free transform to stretch the nail, then used eraser to clip it to shape. Shown is just the index and middle finger done...

Thanks everyone for your reply and edits it is much appreciated. I am still working on the photo and will show the end results. Thanks so much Kevin for your edit love it I've shorten the nails as she is a very young child but you've done a very good job.
