skin tone - reduce M, increase Y Looking at the attached image. I am trying to get the skin tone on the left to match the skin tone on the right. The left skin tone has very similar M and Y values (~ 30%), while the M and Y values for the right skin tone differ by about 10%. I have tried using channel mixer and color balance to reduce M and increase Y but couldn't get the M and Y values to widen. What am I doing wrong? Are those not the right tools to use?

Re: skin tone - reduce M, increase Y I recommend you try adjusting the skin color in LAB color mode, or at least setting the samplers in your info palette to LAB for viewing purposes. In the sample below I converted the image to LAB color and added an adj curve. A slight movement up in the A channel made the center (shown in Red) match the center of the sample on the left. That takes care of the center. You will need to do more work if you want the rest of it to match because the lightness is uneven and the texture is totally different. Regards, Murray

Re: skin tone - reduce M, increase Y I would adress this with curves, see attachement Bear in mind I have them set for ink pigment, rather than light so the cuves might be the opposite way rround for you.
