Sun Needs Texture. This image is a blend of 4 images, none of which had any information in the sun. It is totally blown, and so I brushed some yellow into it. I'm looking for a way to add texture so the sun won't just stay a pasty yellow. I tried adding noise, but didn't like it. Didn't seem natural. Barring texture, is there a way to add luminance to the center area? That at least might add a bit of dimension to the sun.

Re: Sun Needs Texture. here is the real thing: http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/ however if you need more "Texture" maybe adding some slight clouds over it will be more realistic

Re: Sun Needs Texture. Thanks for the link. I applied a light gradient. Looks a little better.
