The Harry Potter Effect. How to Achieve??

Recently, I have been going to the Movie Cinema. Somehow came across some of the movie advertising poster of "Harry Potter".


Particularly, I would like to ask how to achieve the effect from the lastest installment of "The Deathly Hallow"

looks like a duo-tone smoothed grunge
teal-blue-violet for the background with a complement for skin/hair
+ a few drops of "blood" for style

Maybe this link is a bit late (or not).

I was looking for a technique on shadows but I came across this video tutorial. I know it is in a foreign language but if you know your tools in PS you could pick up a few details based on what the guys is showing in the video.

I'm also interested in Photography pos-production for movie films so I definitely got something out of it.
