Pore Saving Beauty Retouching. Good Morning, I am looking to find a way to retouch skin, without the 'plastic' look. Here below are a few examples http://modelmayhm-3.vo.llnwd.net/d1/...4738c3252c.jpg http://modelmayhm-3.vo.llnwd.net/d1/...2f15fd2aae.jpg http://modelmayhm-3.vo.llnwd.net/d1/...e60660c1bb.jpg Could anyone shine light onto how this effect is achieved? Many thanks, Mark

Re: Pore Saving Beauty Retouching. Dodge and Burn gives most control and is the most time consuming as well.I attach a oart of a face I did with D&B. Check for instance Niennas tiutorials ... http://nienna1990.deviantart.com/art...qo=3&offset=30 For faster result make a search for deGrunge . The recent Frequency Separation techniques is also something to look into, Google it. ... or check the numerous threads already here on this forum on the subject. There is also a newly developed exellent and free plugin , in this forum .. http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/pho...in-smooth.html

Re: Pore Saving Beauty Retouching. Hi Aphotic82, welcome to RetouchPRO!!! ![]() As pellepiano already said, there are several excellent ways to achieve 'Pore saving Beauty Retouch'. As for the (free) plug-in he mentioned, here you can find the link to the download site, and here you can find the link to the newer version. I used the 'older' version of it for the attached examples.

Re: Pore Saving Beauty Retouching. for this image first you try to get the texture in a gray print desaturate and just leave the spots on the face as a texture then do exactly as i said before

Re: Pore Saving Beauty Retouching. Try making a copy of the best original channel layer and using that to add back in the skin texture you want.

For quick retouches, where I have to do a lot of images, and they arent close-up shots (ie: full body shot), I will often quickly clean up the main blemishes using the healing brush. Then i duplicate the layer and apply some sort of filter to get a quick smooth skin result. Then i copy the original layer on top, do a small Hi pass filter, and set the blending mode to overlay or soft light or maybe even vivid light. Then lower the opacity of the blurred skin layer, and the hi pass layer to around 70%. That keeps a bit of detail in the skin nicely. |
