help changing skin color please
I am somewhat new to photoshop, but need to photoshop an image for a work research project - we are studying discrimination behavior among children (no i'm not an artist!)
I have just joined this forum after reading a thread where people helped change a skin color on a photo (thread is from 2007). It had a lot of tips regarding layer masking, color layers vs. overlay layers, burn, darken, and I have given it a try with limited success..
So I was hoping someone could give me a tip and/or make some changes to darken the skin color and make the photo look as african-american as possible (though we don't want to change features).
thank you so much in advance.

Re: help changing skin color please
If the children reject the touched up photo, would that then be attributed to the child being 'african-american'? The hair will always be fine and straight, even if it's made darker. Even with perfect technical skills, the photo may still look, in some undefinable way, odd. Would you be o.k with that?
