Cleaning up Skin

What would be the best technique/settings to use to clean up the skin in this shot? (the best way would have been to wipe the childs mouth before the shot but hey ho) I have tried Cloning but it has ended up very patchy.

Re: Cleaning up Skin

I started with a color range selection of the bits, used a curves adj. layer to lighten and add a little blue to these areas and fixed the remaining areas with dodge & burn.
Some areas still didn't look good, so did a little healing as well.

Re: Cleaning up Skin

Hi tried a frequency separation because the baby food is just colour in a sense (since we don't have smell in PS)

Thank you both. I'll give it a try.
