thanks for the insight Lyle.
I came to the same conclusion this afternoon after I spent sometime with it. I have been using PS for as long as you are using GIMP, and it is just matter of finding the right balance, definitely there is big room for GIMP on my desk, it is a nice complement to PS or, the other way around. form what I can see, the GIMP community is very serious and the algorithm there is very powerful. I was surprised at the way the gentleman who developed G'MIC/"Transfer Color" described it, "it is really simple, nothing to it", geez, it beats PS's "match color" hands down, any day.
