Talking My First Car Retouching

This is my first car retouching I've made up a fake car advertising campaign to practice. I will appreciate some feedback and I don't mind harsh criticism as far as it's with fundamentals I think this is the best tool to learn

Anyway here it goes

I think it looks pretty good. Some of the edges are oversharpened. Look at the white rims around the antenna, the mountain's edge, and the edge of the pier.

Re: My First Car Retouching

You got plenty of mood in there! With wet ground there is an opportunity to reflect both the red colour and the headlights (and rears) on the road surface. This would help 'sit' the vehicle in the composition. Not sure why the bonnet isn't affected by the rain either!
It's well on the way but a lot more hand/detail work is required. Global effects and filters will only take you so far!
R.

Re: My First Car Retouching

I have a slight problem with the projection of water near the front bumper, Looks like it haven't got quite the right angle and I'm not sure about the lighting of the wing mirror - the forefront one -which seems too bright for the amount of light coming from the sky. ...Anyway very nice!

Repairman and 4personnen, Very fine detail oriented comments. I really appreciate your comments. You see? when you think something is finished, something else comes along. That's why I love this site

I'll fix it when I get a chance.

Thank you guys !

Re: My First Car Retouching

Is it because of the low quality you saved the image for the web or why is the sky full of artifacts?

Re: My First Car Retouching

It is because the original image is very low quality. So it looks funny.
