Pen tool line

Anyone know of a way to thicken the pen tool line in CS5? It's like the size of a human hair now.

I have a friend who's having trouble seeing it.

Re: Pen tool line

I don't have CS5 yet - can't you simply change the brush size just below the edit drop-down?

Re: Pen tool line

Thanks but I think we may be talking about something different. There's no brush sizes with the pen tool.

Re: Pen tool line

If you are referring to something like AI CS5 "Width tool" (Shift+W) then no, PS CS5 doesn't have that.

Re: Pen tool line

Sorry. Guess I'm being unclear.

When you cut a path, using the pen tool, in PS CS5, the line you drag from one point to another is much finer than it used to be in any previous version of PS.

Is there a way to make it more visible? On white or gray tint (like below) it's better. On a normal image silhouette, it's almost invisible.

This has been brought up in other forums, as well as Adobe's, with no response.

I have the same problem quite often (depending on the image). What was the solution?

Re: Pen tool line

Photoshop Preferences>Performance>Advanced Settings

Check off the box "Anti-alias Guides and Paths"

Your lasso and pen tool will be normal.
