Huh? How do you recover frequencies? (sorry if that is a dumb question).

Avoid to treat the edges like that: You get clearly visible halos.
I would...
work on her left eye.
work on the skintones.
(her right ear pops out and the skin could be more even in means of coulour)
Use dodge and burn to shape the face and to soften some areas.

Keep on working...

Re: Beauty retouching.Need advice.

Upper chin part looks a bit dark.
Cheekbones i supposed there should be kind of dodge ,,line,, defining cheek bone?!
Not quiet sure how to do lip yet

The highlights, and this is a personal thing, but I would dodge the upper part of the chin, the top lip and maybe the cheekbones.

BTW, @ShadowLight, the sharpened version looks a lot better - was that smart sharpen, USM or a second HP layer?

Re: Beauty retouching.Need advice.

It is not a dump question. I am missing some sharpness after frequency separation. Is this method by sharpening? What do you normally use? Thank you

Re: Beauty retouching.Need advice.

Thank you for very insightful comment.
Halos are terrible now have to agree.
When you say left eye: do you mean that shadow most?
nay i ask you any suggestions on improving skin tone?
This will be my first D&B project/face shaping project.Still have to decide which parts of the face to burn and which to dodge.

Re: Beauty retouching.Need advice.

After a second look:
Due to the pose, the forehead is brighter than the chin, as said before.
So I would darken the forehead a bit, lighten the chin.
The eyes could need more light (and the iris contrast).
The skintone:
You could use Hue/Saturation layer to make the more red tones more yellowish and the more yellowish tones more red - getting a more even tone.
Make shure you use the colourpicker to get the most reddish and the most yellowish skintone.
(You can have an eye to the info-palette, displaying HSB as second colour-Info to control the colour resulting).
But keep it believable.
